The National Database Registration Authority—NADRA has unveiled a new policy for getting Computerized National Identity Cards—CNICs and other documents.
As per the shared details, the condition of birth certificate has been ended for getting a new CNIC and B-Form.
Now the computerized National Identity card could be obtained by giving copies of a matriculation certificate, domicile, a passport and the CNICs of the parents.
Furthermore, now there would not be any need of getting the marriage certificate for obtaining the CNIC of wife. The CNIC could now be taken just by submitting the CNIC of the husband and Rs.20 affidavit.
In case of losing one’s CNIC there would be no need of FIR for getting a new CNIC. New CNIC could be obtained just by submitting an undertaking on a stamp paper regarding the loss of the card.
In the same way, the requirement of getting an advertisement in a newspaper for informing about the change in the name has also been done away with.
In the meantime, NADRA has also taken the authority away from the ex and the new chairman and councilors of attesting the documents of the CNIC applicants.
