NAB shuts a 2-decade case against PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif. The case related to illegal allotment of 12 plots.
The accountability court Judge Jawadul Hassan announced his verdict after hearing the arguments of the NAB prosecutor. The case prolonged to find and represent evidence.
The prosecutor told that all relevant records were destroyed due to a fire engulfing the building of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). There was no evidence to prove charges against Shehbaz Sharif.
In addition to this, two people related to the case, Mian Attaullah and Mian Raza Attauallah, have passed away.
Shehbaz Sharif, originally, had been accused of allotting 12 plots to some of his favorite people. The case was first initiated by Lahore NAB in 2000.
The publication reported, LDA acquired the land of Mozu Nawan Kot for the Gulshan Ravi Society in 1978. The authority was to provide 10-marla plots in return. However, one Kanal plots were given to some favorite persons against law.
