According to the details, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered 1 billion rupees in a ‘mega scanal’ related to Punjab’s 56 companies established by the previous government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of anti-corruption watchdog, NAB chairman has submitted the documents of the confiscated property to the provincial government of Punjab.
The spokesperson further said that the amount of 1 billion rupees recovered from the 56 companies scandal has been added to the provincial exchequer.
Mian Saqib Nisar, the former Chief Justice of Pakistan had forward the case pertaining to the mega scam of 56 companies in Punjab to the anti-corruption watchdog.
During the hearing of the case at Supreme Court’s Lahore registry, the former top judge of the country said that he will force the corrupt leaders of Pakistan to return the money of the people of Pakistan and today NAB has recovered Rs 1 billion.
