Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi—Director-General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said on Monday that due to the untiring efforts of Joint Investigation Teams of NAB and KP, the punishment ration remained 70 percent in the PTI-administrated province.
DG NAB said that while addressing a function regarding the International Anti-Corruption Day on Monday.
He further said that NAB is making concerted efforts to wipe the corruption out of the society for the development of the country as well as the welfare of the people of Pakistan.
He urged the people to support the efforts made by the anti-corruption watchdog to eradicate the corruption as the NAB was taking serious steps to root out the menace from the society.
DG NAB added that corruption is a serious crime that could undermine social and economic development in all societies. “The coalition of NAB and KP is taking measures in culminating the corruption and making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a corruption-free province,” he added.
It is worth mentioning here that according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Pakistan was among the countries where the ratio of corruption was very high and some serious efforts were needed to clear the country from the evils.
