MoU Signed for Conducting Chinese Teaching Classes for The Students of AKU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been inked between the Agha Khan University and the University of Karachi for holding Chinese teaching classes for the first-year students of AKU.

The MoU has been inked by the Pakistani and Chinese Directors and the Dean of Agha Khan Medical College. The Confucius Institute of the University of Karachi would also be providing the Chinese teachers for having evening classes for the students, staff and the faculty of AKU.

In the meantime, the Registrar of Karachi University informed that the admissions in the Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics (PGD) have started and the admission forms could be collected and submitted to the department until the 20th of December 2018.

As per the Registrar, the merit list of the successful candidates would be revealed at the Department of Statistics—Karachi University on the 26th of December 2018. The admission fees could be submitted between the time frame of December 28th and January 10th, 2019.

The registrar in a press release said that the PGD is well suited for the ones who desire to boost their knowledge of Statistics and are employed in the research related organizations. Once the first year of the postgraduate diploma is completed in Statistics, students who have done BA or B. Com or B.Sc. (Biological Sciences) are eligible for taking admission in M.A/M.Sc. in Statistics and master’s in computer science (MCS).
