Zafar Mirza, the Special Assistant to PM on Health and Reforms has said that so far more than 700,000 passengers have been screened across the nation, as per the reports of local media.
While leading a meeting of the emergency core group in the federal capital, he said that every possible step is being taken by the present government to handle the threat of coronavirus.
Zafar Mirza has said that the federal and provincial governments and other institutions are completely ready to meet the challenge and to protect the people from the virus.
The screening activity is being done at all the airports and the ground routes, while separate rooms are allocated in the hospitals, said Mirza.
So far as per reports only five cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan.
Previously on Wednesday, Dr Mirza said that all the 5 patients diagnosed with the virus have been recovering at a good pace.
The PM’s aide also said that the present government is taking all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
