It has been reported by a Pakistani news channel that more than 100 passengers, who landed at the Islamabad International Airport from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), last week, have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to the details, back on April 28, more than 200 passengers landed at the Islamabad International Airport via flight EY-321.
The details said that upon the arrival, all the passengers were screened and were placed in the quarantine facility according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government of Pakistan due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The samples of all passengers were sent to the National Institute of Health (NIH) for testing purposes. According to the details of the testing reports, more than 100 passengers have been tested positive for the deadly virus that took the lives of thousands of people around the globe.
On the other hand, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is well prepared to send relief flights to the United States (US) to bring back all the stranded Pakistanis.
According to the details, the national flag carrier has completed all its preparations as it is going to operate 12 flights to the United States of America. The authority of the American airport has distributed slots for the PIA’s special flights.
