The Civil Aviation Authority—CAA has launched modern technology for facilitating the passengers for getting rid of the long lines to get their boarding passes at the airports, as per the reports of local media.
Passengers would be getting the facility for getting their boarding passes by themselves after the installation of modern machines imported from France.
The CAA authorities informed the local media that more than 15 modern machines are being placed initially at 5 major airports which include Karachi where the passengers, primarily the ones in possession of the hand-carry luggage would be getting the self-boarding facility.
As per the officials of the aviation authority, the administration has installed 2 machines on each of the domestic and international lounge of the Karachi airport.
Previously, self-check-in kiosks had been placed at the domestic and international lounges of Faisalabad airport after the installation at the Islamabad International Airport.
The self-check-in kiosk is an automated system that is offered for assuring the passengers to avoid long queue at the usual check-in counters operated by the crew.
With the kiosk facility, one would be able to identify yourself with your ID or passport, get flight information details, review the seat arrangements, print the boarding passes. It also informs about the checked-in bags.
