A ban has been imposed on the usage of mobile phones in all educational institutions as per the provincial authorities.
Punjab’s Directorate Public Instruction – Secondary Education (SE) has issued notification for banning mobile phone usage in public schools.
According to the notification the students below 16 will not be permitted to keep phones with them inside any educational institutions. If they do not abide by it, authorities will take disciplinary against them over the violation of the regulations.
The District Education Authority of Multan banned mobile phone usage inside the public schools, earlier in October in 2018.
It has been announced by the CEO Education Multan that phones will be submitted to the principal and the teachers and returned to the students before they leave the school.
The notification said, “It has been observed that teachers get into their mobile phones during school time which affects children’s education. Therefore, it is directed that nobody should use mobile phones during school timing. Not even in an emergency, it is allowed that you stand outside the classroom and take the call, instead, you should sit in your classroom and take the message through short conversation.”
