Mobile phone use banned for NAB officials


The ChairmanNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Retired Javed Iqbal has issued a notification on Monday which imposes ban on NAB officials to use Mobile phones.

According to Dunya News sources, the chairman NAB has imposed some other regulations as well apart from Mobile Phone Use ban on NAB officials during the work hours. Theofficials having grade 18 are instructed to wear uniform and biometricattendance system is also introduced to ensure attendance.

The sources said private guests and meetings will not be allowed during the office hours as well.

The Chairman has also directed NAB officials to stay away from political personalities and conducting meetings with them in any form in-person or over the phone. He also commented on the move to distance from political personalities and said, meetings with politicians is against the institution’s code of conduct.

The chairman NAB has also warned the officials to strictly follow the guidelines issued, “Meetingswith officials without prior permission from Chairman NAB would be a clearviolation of TCS Rules 2002”, he added. He further said, officials caughtviolating TCS Rules would be dismissed from the position.The notice has been issued to all bureaus of NABin order to follow the rules and instructions from the Chairman NAB.
