Major General Asif Ghafoor—the spokesperson of Pakistan Army said that Miramshah—headquarters of North Waziristan would be hosting the matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
While speaking to the media persons at the National Stadium, he said that it was pleasing to see that sports activities were being returned to the nation. He added that the matches would also be scheduled in Muzaffarabad and Khyber.
He was present along there along with the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa for watching the final match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi.
The ISPR Chief said that he has spoken to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman—Ehsan Mani who also showed interest in the idea. He added that the way our security forces have worked should not be reserved, he said this while referring to the gains made as a result of military operations against militants in the agitated tribal belt.
The final of the Pakistan Super League which was played yesterday at the National Stadium in Karachi between Quetta and Peshawar. The match attracted nearly 25million online viewers across the world. As per the Pakistan Cricket Board this in an extraordinary record in the cricketing history of Pakistan.
Breaking the record Quetta won the final against Peshawar which has been the 2 times winner of PSL.
