Fawad Chaudhry—the Minister for Science and Technology said that the ministry was going to introduce a project for providing clean drinking water facility in 1,500 schools throughout the nation.
While talking to the media persons here, the minister said that providing clean drinking water facility was the basic right of every citizen, but the former government denies giving this right to people.
The minister said that the facility of clean drinking water would also be given to the general masses. The minister added that the water wasted in the agricultural division was damaging to the economy. He further said that the government was taking steps for conserving water.

He informed that the investments in the sectors of science and technology were among the topmost priorities of the current government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The minister said that the ministry was going to commercialize 26 of its water laboratories as it was essentially needed.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the budget presented by the government was revolutionary and would place the nation on the path towards progress and prosperity as per the vision of the PM Imran Khan.
He also said that the government has placed health tax on cold drinks and cigarettes as they are both bad for health.
