The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has postponed the balloting of the additional Hajj quota that was scheduled for today.
As per the ministry spokesperson, the new balloting date for the distribution of additional quota among the unsuccessful applicants of Hajj scheme 2019 would be announced after the approval of the federal cabinet.
It is important to mention that the government of Saudi Arabia had given an additional quota of 16,000 to Pakistanis. The additional quota provided would be divided between the government and private Hajj scheme 2019.

The applicants who after the results of first balloting withdrew their money would also be included in the balloting. If selected, the pilgrims would then be given 4 days’ time to submit their money.
New applications would not be entertained in the second balloting, as per sources.
Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board has set up a dedicated helpline service for facilitating the Hajj pilgrims.
