The Ministry of Science and Technology has introduced its own bottled water just for the government offices.
Fawad Chaudhry—the Minister for Science and Technology said that the step has been taken keeping in consideration the austerity measures of the government. This bottled water would not be costly and would serve as an alternative to the mineral water that is presently available at the government offices.
The federal minister said that the bottled water which is referred to as the Safe Drinking Water would cost Rs.1 per litre.
The Pakistan Council of Research and Water Reserves has prepared 500ml bottles of the water so far.
It is anticipated that the water would be served to the officials at the Prime Minister Office, Parliament House, and GHQ and then later at the offices of the various ministries.
