Owing to the present uncertainty in Islamabad, the interior ministry has asked the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide 5,000 additional police officials to the administration of the federal capital.
On Saturday via an official communique, the interior minister asked the chief secretary of the province to provide another 5,000 officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police along with complete command framework and anti-riot gear to the administration of the federal territory.
As per sources, the provincial government had already given nearly 3,000 police personnel to the federal government to deploy in Islamabad.
As per an official on the request of anonymity informed that this is an extra demand and that the interior ministry has asked for an immediate provision of the police personnel.
It is important to mention that the provincial government has allotted more than Rs.200 million for the police of KP before the commencement of Azadi March that the federal capital is experiencing these days.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated Rs.50 billion for the construction of watercourses in the different parts of the province.
