Minister Inaugurated First Model School in Lahore

Murad Raas—the Punjab Minister for School Education inaugurated the first model school in Lahore under the Insaf School Programme.

The inauguration ceremony of the model school was held at the City Government High School—Kabootarpura—Gulberg. The event was also attended by the Special Secretary Schools Education—Ghulam Farid, students, teachers and educationists.

The government has got the intention of starting afternoon schools in the 20 districts in the initial phase until the March 2019.

The minister informed that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would prove the slogan of giving quality education and modern facilities to all the underprivileged and poor students. He further said that the formation of the Early Childhood Education Classroom would be providing a friendly environment to the children in schools for increasing their interest in education.

The Minister also said that the inauguration of the water filtration plant, early childhood education classroom, IT laboratories and girls-friendly toilet were indicators of the beginning of new Pakistan. He added that the initiative of model schools would prove to a significant step.

He also informed that the teachers would be provided with the most recent educational concepts which include classroom management and child psychology. He said that the government managed schools would be much better than the private schools and further added that a detailed reforms agenda was under way for improving the infrastructure of the schooling system in the province.

The programme would be initiated in 1,700 schools of the 9 districts of the province in the initial phase. The programme would be introduced in 20 schools, including Multan, Jhang, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha,Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi and Mianwali.

The minister also informed that compulsory sports would be introduced and the programme about providing cycles to the students in the 20 districts would also be extended.

At the occasion the water filtration plant and the girls-friendly toilet was also inaugurated by the minister in Gulberg school.
