Ali Zaidi, the Federal Minister said that at least 12 motorcycles were recovered from the Mehmoodabad Nullah during the cleanliness drive.
The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs who was elected from Karachi had started a campaign to remove the garbage from the streets of Karachi.
“Residents of Karachi are still throwing garbage into the Nullahs which were cleaned recently during “Lets Clean Karachi’ campaign, while 12 motorcycles were also recovered from Mehmoodabad nullah,” the minister said.
The minister further said that the workers who are participating in cleaning the drains will get the bonus. He further said, during the press conference in Karachi, that several drains of Karachi have been cleaned during the period of the last 20 days.
The minister of PTI’s government further said that 80 million rupees were collected for cleanliness campaign in Karachi out of which at least 40.5 million rupees had been spent so far.
A Clean Karachi campaign has been started by the federal minister this month within an aim to clean Pakistan’s most populated city after the post-rain situation.
