Microsoft To Shut down Windows Phone Store From December 16

Microsoft has already ended support for Windows phones a couple of years ago, however, the company is to shutdown Windows phone store now after the company has ended all its support.

Microsoft has recently updated its support page in order to let users know that it will shut down the Windows Phone Store completely on December 16. Microsoft stopped updating apps through the store from July this year; however, users are still able to download apps from the store.

But there are few things that you can work out with your current phones, in order to get your phones working you may consider downloading and installing “upgrade Advisor” you will get Windows 10 mobile with this, however, this app will no longer be available for download after December 16, so you will need to use OTC Updater and get the update.

Since, Microsoft is killing Windows phones, slowly and asked users to switch to Android or iPhones, Microsoft is also working parallel to this, it was reported this month that Microsoft is currently working on a foldable smartphone “Surface Duo”.
