MG is launching locally manufactured Electric Vehicles in Pakistan


JW has set up its plant in Pakistan as per recent news. Also, the company is looking to establish the biggest private venture of electric car manufacturing in the country.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been inked between JW Auto Park and Morris Garages for manufacturing electric cars.

Earlier MG started off as a British company but a Chinese firm took over it. The news circulating is that on the Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan later in 2020, the plant will be inaugurated. However, since then there have been no reports regarding this.

But there had been some MG news as Javed Afridi posted two videos on his social media page. One video confirmed that an MG Electric Vehicle is getting road-tested in Pakistan and the SUV will be soon available in the local market.

The price of both these vehicles is quite affordable in comparison to its local competitors. Both of these vehicles will range from 4 million to 5.5 million. It can be even lower if the tax benefits add-in.
