As per the reports of local media on Thursday, the Met Office has predicted light rainfall for Karachi and other parts of Pakistan from today.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department—PMD has forecasted a new spell of monsoon rains to start in Karachi and other parts of the country from today.

Scattered rains and wind-thunderstorm of light to moderate intensity with separate heavy pours are anticipated in the divisions of Thatta and Mirpurkhas, while light to moderate rain is anticipated in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions on Thursday and Friday, as per the forecast.

Monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are invading the country and are likely to increase in the next 24 hours. A westerly wave is also present over the upper parts of the nation.

As per the reports of Met office rains or wind-thunderstorms are anticipated at the isolated places in Lower Sindh including Hyderabad, Karachi, Thatta, Mirpurkhas divisions, Zhob, Punjab, Islamabad, Sibbi, Kashmir, Kalat divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
