Met Office Predicts Another Heatwave in Karachi

As per the reports of local media, the Met Office has predicted another possible heatwave in Karachi and the in the suburbs from the 18th of May, as per the reports of local media.

A moderate heatwave is to occur in Karachi and in the suburban areas from the 18th of May until the 20th or 21st of May, as informed by the Met Office in its advisory.

The day time temperatures are expected to soar to 40-42 degrees celsius during the period, as per the Met office.

The citizens have been told to be cautious and in shade especially during the peak temperature hours that is; from 11 am to 04 pm.

Karachi has witnessed its first heatwave of this year from the 5th till the 8th of May.

In the meantime, the other parts of the country are to experience the hot and dry weather during the span of the next 24 hours.

But, rain with wind and thunderstorm is anticipated in the har region, Islamabad, Kashmir, the Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in Gilgit-Baltistan.
