On Thursday the Pakistan Meteorological Department—PMD has given out a new heatwave alert for Karachi, as per the reports of local media.
Severe hot weather is likely to hit the port city by the end of this week.
The Met Office further informed that during the past few days, sea breeze stops during the daytime in the city after which a constant increase in temperature has been seen.
The Met Office further said that between the 25th and 27th of May hot winds would blow from the northwest, and hence as a result temperature in Karachi could increase up to 41-degree centigrade.
The medical experts have given out advice to the people to remain indoors during the daytime especially during 11 am to 3 pm for remaining safe from the effects of the hot weather.
They have suggested that people must keep their heads covered with wet clothes while the ones who are fasting must increase their water intake during the Sehri and iftar time.
