Shafqat Mahmood—the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training has said that measures are being taken for giving due status to the engineers in Pakistan.

While addressing the 28th convocation of NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi he said that the students would have to play their constructive role in the development of the nation.

The minister asked them to continue struggling for reaching out to their desired destination and to materialize their dreams.

Previously the Vice-Chancellor in his speech has stressed on the performance and the issues being experienced and faced by the university.

The minister said that earlier the government would ensure that the internet is available in all parts of the country under the Digital Pakistan program.

While talking to the journalists, the minister said that the future of Pakistan is related to the digitalization. He also said that the government was inclined to introducing a uniform education system in the country.

While responding to a question, the minister said that the participation in Urdu Conference was a great honour for him. He said that he was making efforts for activating such literacy organizations.

On the other hand, as per the latest development, the UK has offered Pakistan with the latest surveillance and security machines which would be installed at the major airports of the country.

As per the available details, 18 of these machines have already been installed at the 3 major airports of the country.
