McDonald’s and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for giving special offers to the passengers traveling via the national flag carrier. The MoU was signed at a ceremony that was held at the Airport Branch of McDonald’s situated inside the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Malik—the CEO of PIA, Ali Tahir Qasim—the Chief Commercial Officer of PIA, Jamil Mughal—the Pakistan Chief Operations, Marketing, Development and Supply Chain Officer of McDonald’s along with many officials of the airline attended the ceremony.
The CEO of the airline shared his views on the occasion and said that this collaboration is a great chance for both the brands to work together in unison for the mutual benefit of the customers and improvement in the value chain.

He also expressed his pleasure at the collaboration and referred it as the beginning of many more exciting projects to come.
Jamil Mughal on the occasion said that the unison between PIA and McDonald’s is perfect in the sense of coupling. He said that with this collaboration they are proud to have united with the national airline and take the experience of traveling to greater heights.
McDonald’s would be branding the boarding passes with its special offers, this is a part of the agreement. The offers printed on the boarding passes would be valid at all the McDonald’s restaurants for the PIA passengers.
This indeed is a valuable measure for both the brands as PIA has got more than 6million passengers which includes both the local and international flyers.
Both the brands are seeking various opportunities like serving McCafe coffee during the PIA flights and at the various airport lounges.
