McDonald’s Introduces Touch Screen Ordering in Pakistan

McDonald’s has introduced a new system in Pakistan, for customers to place their order. There is a machine now placed in every outlet of McDonald’s, that will take your order and it will be brought to your table.

So no more standing in the queue to wait for your turn, as you can place your order via this new touch-screen. After you place an order, a table number will be given to you along with a slip. The waiter will then bring your order to your table.

This technology was first introduced in McDonald’s branches around the world like America and UK. When it was launched in America Steve Easterbrook, chief executive of McDonald’s said: “Typically, the majority of our crew is behind the counter, and that counter literally has been a barrier between our crew and the customer.”

So one of the purposes of introducing this system is to bring effective interaction between customer and crew of McDonald’s. Also, it will bring ease in the life of customers. They can still order food in a conventional way, at the counter. This is just an alternate option. They can sit on the table and wait patiently for their order there instead of getting uneasy by waiting in the line.

This is new not just for customers but also for workers at McDonald’s. Their job description will be redefined with the new introduction. The system has been a success around the world, which is why it has now been launched in Pakistan. It will be a big opportunity for McDonald’s crew to personalize customer experience in Pakistan.
