Four Changan vehicles were revealed by Master Motors on 2nd September in the International Engineering & Machinery Asia Expo 2018 at Lahore Expo Center. Now three Changan vehicles will launch on 15th September 2018.
Two pickups M8 and M9 and an MPV Karvaan will launch in September while the SUV will not be launched until 2020.
Master Motors was granted Greenfield investment status from the government. After that, it signed an agreement with Changan Motors on 29th June 2018. And finally in September Master Motors will launch Changan vehicles in Pakistan.
The prices of the vehicles have not been revealed yet but the expected price of MPV Karvaan is PKR 1,000,000, M8 is PKR 850,000 and M9 is PKR 900,000
CEO Daniyal Malik said that he is hopeful that the Changan vehicles will perform well in the Pakistani market as the vehicles offer amazing features at an affordable price.
Malik complimented the government’s auto policy 2016-21 that has helped the new automakers and allowed them to enter Pakistani local market.
It seems that the three Changan vehicles being launched by Master Motors will compete with the FAW vehicles that have a similar price range. M8 and M9 might give tough competition to FAW Carrier Standard and the Karvaan will directly compete with FAW X-PV Dual AC.
