Massive Traffic Jam Expected in Islamabad on Friday

Nawaz Sharif is returning to Pakistan on Friday, June 13th, along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz. They will land at Lahore Airport and from there they will be taken straight to Islamabad on a helicopter. They will be sent to Adalia Jail for imprisonment.

If things go as planned and Nawaz Sharif & Maryam Nawaz are arrested at Lahore Airport and taken straight to Islamabad, we can expect a huge rally in the capital city of Pakistan on Friday.

Nawaz Sharif supporters will come out in huge numbers to show support to their leader and life won’t be easy for the commuters.

One suggestion we can give to all the commuters is to avoid traveling on Friday unless you want to get stuck in traffic. Even though the rush will be near Islamabad Airport, traffic will be jammed all over the city as people will look for alternate routes for traveling which will result in a traffic jam all over Islamabad.

A helicopter was requested by DG NAB Lahore Shahzad Saleem from chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal to transport Nawaz and Maryam to Islamabad.

“The NAB chairman had forwarded this letter to the caretaker government who then provided the helicopter.”

Even if Nawaz Sharif does not get a chance to address the people in Lahore, people will come out in large numbers in Lahore as well. Lahore is the home ground of PML-N’s leader and no matter what the situation, the supporters will be out there for their leader in both Lahore & Islamabad. So we can just ask the people to remain safe and avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary on Friday.
