Maryam Nawaz arrested by the NAB officials

Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has been arrested by the officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday.

As per the details, she was detained in the case related to Chaudhry Sugar Mills. According to the details, the NAB team has taken her into the custody from the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore when she was on a visit to meet her father.

Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of former three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, has been summoned by the anti-corruption watchdog in a Chaudhry Sugar Mills case and directed by the authorities to appear before the NAB official on Thursday at 3 pm, but she replied to the NAB team and said that she won’t be able to join the hearing.

Yousuf Abbas Sharif, the first cousin of Maryam Nawaz, has also been summoned by the NAB team in the same case.

The NAB officials arrested him as well along with Maryam Nawaz when he failed to appear before the investigation team of the anti-corruption watchdog.
