As per the reports of local media, 6 marriage halls and 103 restaurants were sealed in Karachi as they were found violating the health-related SOPs for curbing the spread of coronavirus.
As per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 6 marriage halls and 103 restaurants were closed in the provincial capital of Sindh as they were neglecting the COVID-19 associated SOPs.
According to the available details, Asad Umar-the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chairman NCOC said that the marriage halls and indoor restaurants are contributing majorly to the spread of the virus.
The minister in a tweet said that the NCOC has asked all the provinces and the federating units to crack down on the SOP violating spots.
He added that they must not allow the irresponsible conduct of some of the people to put the health of all at risk.
Earlier, the district authorities South in Karachi had also made the announcement of imposing the micro smart lockdown in the different parts for a span of 2 weeks in mid of the surging coronavirus cases in the city.
