Marriage Hall in Gujranwala to be Converted into a Hospital for COVID-19 Patients

A marriage hall in Gujranwala located on the Grand Trunk road (GT Road) is to be turned into a field hospital for the suspect or confirmed patients of coronavirus.

Earlier in the day, Sohail Ashraf Divisional Deputy Commissioner visited the facility and took a review of the healthcare establishment.

 The hall will be refurbished within seven days and it can make room for 200 patients at a time with a capacity of 200 beds.

The hospital even has a capacity to have a fully functional laboratory along with a pharmacy, said the deputy commissioner.

On 1st April, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited the field hospital constructed at the Expo Center Lahore for the COVID-19 patients. The hospital has the capability to have 1000 beds in it.

The Expo Center field Hospital was established in nine days. The hospital is built to treat the confirmed patients affected of coronavirus and isolate those who are suspected with the virus by giving them a safe and secure atmosphere.

This 1000 beds field hospital at the Expo center was approved on 20th March by Usman Buzdar to fight against the Coronavirus.
