Man kills Traffic Warden and a Passerby in Rawalpindi over Car Parking Issue

A man killed a traffic warden and a passerby in Rawalpindi after he was asked not to park his car in a no-parking spot at Rawalpindi’s Committee Chowk area. The argument aggravated and in the heat of the moment the man opened fire and killed two.

The Waris Khan police did not arrive at the incident location in time despite being nearby. People that were present near the area grabbed the assailant and took his murder weapon. They started beating him.

While they failed to arrive at the scene of the incident in time despite being a few yards away, the people present in the area rushed to surround the assailant and after seizing his weapon, started to beat him up.

The accused was arrested and his weapon a Kalashnikov was taken by the police. The injured men were sent to the nearby hospital where they died. A post-mortem examination will be done of the bodies and an investigation has been started by the Rawalpindi police. As per Rawalpindi police spokesperson Imran Kazmi under Sections 302 and 324 of the PPC a case has been registered against the accused.

The incident that took lives of Shahid Sarwar and Nisar occurred on Tuesday, few minutes before Iftar. Shahid was a resident of Kallar Syedan who was reinstated in traffic police after spending two years in Dubai. Nisar worked as a tailor in Raja Bazar and was basically a resident of Gujranwala.
