Malik Riaz has donated rupees 40.26 million for the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam fund. Malik Riaz is the chairman of Bahria Town—Pakistan’s top class Housing society.
As per the statement released by the company, Malik Riaz has donated a huge amount of rupees 40.26 million to the fund dedicated for the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam initiated by the caretaker government.
The communique added that Malik Riaz and Bahria Town would keep on attempting and try to do the best of their extent for the improvement of the nation and for meeting the energy demands.
As per the website of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the fund received so far is approximately around rupees 382.20 million from the people of Pakistan for the making of the dam that would be used as a water reservoir and would provide for the energy sector of the nation.
As per the statement of a spokesperson, the officials belonging to army, navy and air force would be contributing their two days’ salary, while the soldiers would be donating their one days’ salary for the announced fund being collected for the national cause of saving the water to avoid the water crisis.
Experts from all fields of life have also contributed to the fund, in order to take care of the energy and water crisis, which is presently the greatest approaching threat stated by many professionals.
The first significant contribution to the fund was provided by none other than the Chief Justice of Pakistan—Main Saqib Nisar. He gave rupees one million from his personal account for the cause and invited the fellow countrymen to do the same as per their capacity.
