The Malaysian authorities returned the PIA Boeing 777 which was held due to a British court case over non-payment of the jet’s lease.
The lease dispute was $14 million.
The release was made possible after PIA and Malaysian authorities reached a friendly settlement to the dispute.
The plaintiff, Peregrine Aviation Charlie Ltd, agreed to withdraw its suit against Pakistan International Airlines Corp.
It is said that the court’s order will result in the release of the two Boeing aircraft operated by PIAC. These jets were leased to PIA by Dublin-based AerCap in 2015.
