The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has launched an Android app on Monday to help people in launching their complaints about waste management in the city. The app is named as “Clean Lahore”.
The application has been developed in collaboration with the IT Board of Punjab for providing citizens an easy and quick way of lodging complaints.
The app is available for download on Play Store. The description of the app on Play Store is that the lodged complaints are assigned to the designated staff of LWMC and an entire system of readdressing the mechanism and assignment matrix is attached with each complaint. The description further calls everyone to come and work together for making Lahore clean.
Raja Basharat—the Punjab Minister for Law and Local Government while addressing the launch ceremony of the app applauded the efforts of LWMC and IT Board of Punjab for the development of a creative app to address the complaints of people.
MD Khalid Nazir—the MD of the company while conversing on the occasion said that the firm was making use of information technology in its everyday operations with the intention of acquiring efficiency, effective control and transparency.
Via this app, he said citizens would be able to submit their complaints with live pictures, comments, and live GPS location.
