Lotus Lake Islamabad is Now Open for Visitors

On Wednesday, CDA (Capital Development Authority) announced that the lotus lake in Islamabad has now been opened for the families too.

Amir Ali Ahmed Chairperson CDA and other officials installed Shakarparian’s Family Park previously this week, and the lake is now open for visitors as well.

According to the details, the CDA announced this news via a press release, stating that it was for the first time since 2009 that the authority had fabricated a family park. Moreover, CDA further added that only families will be permitted into the park.

The CDA considered and maintained the natural beauty of the surroundings while constructing the park and the lake.

As per the press release, the park has been made without disturbing the territory of the site. Stones and wood have been used to make sitting places in the park. Furthermore, in order to maintain the natural beauty of the park, the CDA has planted seedlings and grass as well.

The presser added that Family Park and Lotus Lake will provide the best tourism facilities to visitors.

The artificial lake constructed earlier in 1970 was closed for the public in 2006 during the construction of the cultural complex. Though, the CDA has now restored it on public demand.
