A locally developed COVID-19 detection device is to roll out soon across the nation for detecting the infection of coronavirus in the lungs of the suspected patients and that too in a minute’s time.
As per the shared details, an official of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) said that the device was registered by the concerned authority for identifying the suspected patients economically via making use of the X-rays whereas the product was granted approval for secondary detection of coronavirus.
He further informed that COV-RAID was a window-based software program which was based on python, making use of the Keras libraries and TensorFlow whereas its registration certificate would have validity for a span of 5 years before it requires any renewal.
Dr. Asim Rauf-the CEO of DRAP said that the device would be a major support for treating the COVID-19 patients in the country.
He also said that the technology was being used by only some of the nations while Pakistan would also offer the device to the other countries.
