It has been announced by the federal government that Islamabad would be observing a local holiday on February 18.
The federal government has released a notification in regard with all the Federal Government and Federal Secretariat offices located on the Constitution Avenue in the federal capital to remain closed on the 18th of February that is Monday.
Additionally, the day has been announced as a local holiday within the revenue limits of the city in accordance with the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince—Mohammad Bin Salman to Islamabad, which is expected today.
Local holiday is to be observed on February 18 was informed on Twitter by the Information Minister—Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet.
Schools, colleges and offices would remain closed. It is also important to mention that the essential staff of the Departments/Ministries/Divisions would perform their duties as per normal routine.
In the meantime, the Saudi Crown Prince would be reaching Islamabad for a 2-day visit that is scheduled on the 17th-18th February.
Financial Times has referred to the visit of the MbS to Pakistan as something that would further be easing the financial situation of the country.
It is expected that the Crown Prince would be signing many investment deals in various divisions of Pakistan. If this successfully happens then it for sure would be a boost for the economy of Pakistan.
