On Sunday, the local administration has imposed a micro lockdown in different areas of Islamabad after noticing an increase in the COVID-19 cases.
With the recommendation of the district health authorities, the district administration imposed micro lockdown in several sectors of Islamabad.
According to the reports, the authorities sealed Street Number 38 and 44-48 of Sector G-10 (iv) after noticing a rise in the coronavirus cases.
Moreover, they have sealed Street Number 25 and 29 in Sector I-8 (ii) and, Street Number 85 and 89 in Sector G-9 (iv).
The district health authorities after the emergence of the new COVID-19 cases suggested imposing a micro lockdown in these areas.
Dr. Faisal Sultan Special Assistant to PM on health told on Saturday that the COVID-19 cases have increased a bit within a few weeks.
While speaking in a talk show Sawal Yeh Hai, he said that as compared to the other countries, the resurfacing of the coronavirus cases has not been worse. But if we talk about the past few weeks only then it is true that the COVID-19 cases have increased.
Today, Pakistan reported 12 deaths from coronavirus within twenty-hours. The total death toll in Pakistan is now 6,570.
The NCOC (National Command and Operation Center) released a data according to which, 28, 893 samples were taken for testing out of which only 666 were detected positive.
In total, the number of COVID-19 cases in Pakistan has reached up to 318, 932 after the addition of the 666 new cases. There are 8, 904 active cases, and 303,458 patients have recovered from this deadly disease. 483 patients are in critical condition.
