Recently, the Punjab Government ended the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, therefore the local administration decided to continue the operations of the Metro Bus Service once again in the twin cities of Pakistan from Wednesday (Tomorrow) under strict SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
All the operators have been informed regarding the resumption of the Bus service by the Local Administrators.
The revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be provided today by the administration and the Bus Service will resume their operations from tomorrow (Wednesday).
Earlier in March, the Metro Bus Service was suspended due to the global coronavirus pandemic as the government imposed an immediate lockdown in the city.
Yesterday, the Punjab government lifted up the restriction and allowed all business sectors to resume their activities under the prescribed the SOPs, while the marriage halls and educational institutes are still not allowed to open up.
On August 6th, the National Coordination Committee held a meeting where it was decided that the lockdown will be lifted and all businesses will resume from the 10th of August. The meeting also declared that the educational institutes will reopen from the 15th of September.
Today, 109 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Punjab within the last twenty-four hours. Now, the total tally of the coronavirus cases in the province has reached up to 94, 586.
