Least Holidays in Media & Marketing Sector- Survey

A Survey was conducted about which profession offers least holidays. Expedia ‘Vacation Deprivation Report 2017’ shows that 66% of the participants who said that “they don’t have enough holidays” belong to Media and Marketing Sector.

The conclusion of the survey was that

  •  66% individuals deprived of a holiday were from Media and Marketing Sector
  • 62% individuals deprived of a holiday were from Food and Beverage Sector
  • 56% individuals deprived of a holiday were from Agriculture Sector
  • 56% individuals deprived of a holiday were from Transportation and Travel Sector
  • 55% individuals deprived of a holiday were from Business and Consulting Sector
  • 55% individuals deprived of a holiday were from Finance and Legal Sector

Moreover, the study also revealed those professionals who have “not taken a holiday in the last six months.”

The list is shown below

  • 55% individuals from Government Sector did not took a holiday in last six months
  • 40% individuals from Health Sector did not took a holiday in last six months
  • 39% individuals from Transportaion & Travel Sector did not took a holiday in last six months
  • 37% individuals from Real Estate Sector did not took a holiday in last six months
  • 36% individuals from Business & Consulting Sector did not took a holiday in last six months
  • 34% individuals from Manufacturing & Technology Sector did not took a holiday in last six months

Now 35% of the professionals from agriculture, media, marketing, retail and education, and food and beverage fields revealed that they have fewer vacations as they “cannot afford to take a holiday.”

Then 28% professionals from Finance and Legal Sector said that they are vacation deprived as they “cannot get time off from work.”

So it seems that when it comes to vacation the government sector is much more lenient towards the employees in comparison to the private sector.
