On Friday, Raja Basharat Law Minister had a meeting with a delegation of Punjab Restaurants Association in order to discuss the problems they are facing because of the closure of the restaurants. In the meeting, Raja Basharat gave a hint on opening the restaurants in Punjab after Eid.
The meeting was held today (Friday) in Lahore the Provincial capital of Punjab.
While talking to the delegation in the meeting, the law minister said that the government is planning on opening all businesses under strict SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) provided by the government to avoid the spread of the virus.

The Minister further added that the provincial government is aware of all the problems the restaurant industry is facing and is planning to open all restaurants after Eid-ul-Azha under the strict implementation of SOPs.
Earlier on 14th July, the government announced an extension in the smart lockdown for another fifteen days.
The Punjab Government issued a notification that mentioned the closure of all the parks, cinemas, private and public institutions, restaurants, and marriage halls till the 30th of July.
Moreover, social, political, religious, and sports activities are also banned in Punjab till the end of July.
