Lahore’s Orange Line Metro Train to launch on 28th October

The mega mass-transit project of Orange Line Train under Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) has entered the phase of completion.

According to reports, the first train will run from 28th October 2019. The train will cover 26 stations. The construction of 13 substations has completed. The construction of 11 stations is expected to be completed in November.

The route of the electric train will start from Dera Gujran and end at Anarkali on the trial basis. The orange line train has the capacity of accommodating 250,000 passengers on a daily basis.  After the successful testing, the train will be operational for travelers.

Usman Buzdar, Punjab Chief Minister will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the testing phase. He held the meeting and directed for the speedy completion. It is intended that locals will able to travel through electric trains from January.

The fare is expected to be economical. The train line will span 27.1km with 25.4km elevated and 1.72km underground. It is believed that the OLMT is a part of the CPEC project but the truth is the Government of Punjab has financed this Orange Line Project.
