Lahore Ranked 9th poorest City in terms of Air Quality

Lahore has been ranked the 9th worst city in term of the air quality in the world. Air Visual is an organization that ranks world cities on basis of their air quality. In the Air Quality Index ranking, Lahore has the 9th worst air quality.

The ranking of Lahore is 153 in US air quality index. Indian Capital, New Delhi is the poorest city with worst air quality in the world. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index of Delhi was recorded at 399 which is extremely poor.

Karachi is ranked at 92nd position in the US AQI ranking which makes Karachi the 27th worst city in terms of air quality.

Basically, air quality is used to predict air pollution and air quality in cities all over the world. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the air quality of Lahore is expected to be in between 150 to 200 while on Thursday it is expected to lie between 101 and 150.

Pakistan and India are both in red zone area in the real-time world map which indicates that in pollution and air quality both these countries are below the standard. This is an eye-opener for both the countries because bad air quality directly indicates a higher rate of health problems amongst the citizens. It is important the government of both India and Pakistan take necessary steps that promote pollution free environment.
