Lahore has experienced an increase in the prices of naan and roti. It has referred to as the hike as the cause of a surge in the wheat prices, as per the reports of local media.
According to the shared details, the naanbais have surged the prices of roti by Rs.2, thus making it Rs.8 from Rs.6, while naan is being sold for Rs.15 and has witnessed a surge of Rs.3.
Increased prices of wheat and flour have urged them to surge the prices of naan and roti, as informed by the naanbais.

Earlier, the Muttahida Naan Roti Association had made the announcement to surge the prices of roti and naan by Rs.4 and Rs.5 respectively, from the 10th of June onwards.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting that was held on Friday of the body.
It is pertinent to mention that the CM of Punjab Usman Buzdar had taken notice of the surge in the prices of naan and roti and has asked to make sure to sell the item at a fixed rate, last week.
As per a statement made by the CM Punjab, there is no justification for the surge in the prices of naan and roti.
Usman Buzdar said that he had asked the provincial price control committee to take immediate measures for the purpose.
