The first of its kind, ladies fitness club has opened up in Bhakkar, Punjab. Through special effort by the local administration, the Ladies Health and Fitness Club Bhakkar opened up in Piala Chowk complex. The club was inaugurated by Nadeem Mehboob, Commissioner Sargodha Division.
The officials present at the inauguration ceremony were MPA Aamir Inayat Khan Shahani, Assistant Commissioner Ali Akhtar Saifullah, Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider, ADC Revenue Hafiz Ahmed Tariq, local officers, and various women.

Nadeem Mehboob, Commissioner Sargodha Division spoke on the occasion and said that through this club women are given an opportunity and facility to maintain their health and fitness. He further complimented Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider for his unique idea and MPA Aamir Inayat Khan Shahani for his full cooperation for the development of the club. Furthermore, the commissioner said that these steps are essential for giving women their due position in society and making them grow and develop.
Syed Bilal Haider addressed the people present by informing them about how the club is equipped with best machines, TV sets and all necessary facilities. The capital invested in the club is around Rs4.2 million. The environment is fully air-conditioned. He also told that around 122 females have already become members of the club.
The club is not merely a fitness area; there is a facility of doctors as well along with E-library for reading purposes. A public library would also be developed soon, just for women.
