On Sunday, the KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) government announced that they are going to introduce the Sehat Sahulat card from today in order to facilitate around 7 million people living in Dir, Malakand, Chitral, and Swat.
As per the reports, the aim of this venture is to provide Rs.1 million insurance to each and every family living in KPK by January 2021.
Taimur Jhagra Finance and Health Minister of Khyber PK through his Twitter account declared that till the 31st of January, all domicile holders of KPK will be covered under the program. Moreover, the minister added that Prime Minister Imran Khan will be launching this scheme in Swat on the 6th of November.
Taimur Jhagra wrote on Twitter that by January 31st, every domicile holder of KPK will be covered by the scheme no matter where they live in Pakistan.
The program was launched by PM Khan on August 20 aiming to provide health coverage of Rs.1 million to every family.
In the initial phase, the scheme will be launched in Swat, Upper Chitral, and Lower Chitral districts, Malakand, Upper Dir, and Lower Dir.
Later on, in the second phase, the program will extend towards Mansehra, Torghar, Abbottabad, Battagram, and Kohistan districts by November 2020.
In the third phase, it will expand to Swabi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Haripur, Buner, and Charsadda.
Lastly in the 4th phase, the program will extend towards Tank, Hangu, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, and Karak by the 1st of January 2021.
