KPK Seals 81 Schools over SOPs Violation


Earlier today, 81 schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) were sealed over violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) prescribed by the government in order to control the spread of the virus.

A report released on Wednesday stated that 81 schools including 78 government and 3 private were sealed after found violating the SOPs. 62 schools were allowed to reopen after compliance with the standard operating procedures, while 19 government schools are still sealed.

As per the reports, the coronavirus testing ratio has increased to 1.51 percent from 1.12 in the last month (October).

On Tuesday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province had observed a huge spike in coronavirus cases after it recorded 226 fresh virus cases within the past 24 hours.

As per the KP health department, 226 fresh cases of coronavirus were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province during the last 24 hours, taking the provincial virus tally to 41,069,

Moreover, 4 virus deaths have also been reported in the province during the past twenty-four hours, taking the overall death toll to 1294.
