Rs30.1 million will be spent on setting up offices of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT) by KPK government. Out of this ten million would be used on furniture which includes sofa set, table, chairs and visiting chairs for Project Management Unit. Next 10 million would be used to buy air conditioners, curtains, pay office rent and network payments.
KPK government has approved the BRT project in Peshawar that would cost Rs57 billion. Some of the investment would be done by Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a loan while the rest of the funds are collected by KPK government.
Office would be of 20,000 square feet while rent of the office for two years would be Rs8 million.
For office equipment and office stationery Rs5 million and Rs3 million would be spent respectively.
The details are not given of what equipment, stationery, ACs, curtains are required in this project.
For office transport services 16 vehicles would be bought. They would range from 1,000cc to 2,400cc. The purchasing cost of these vehicles would be around Rs25.9 million.
Also BRT project director has proposed a five-door vehicle that would cost Rs5.5 million.
Transport for public transport office expert, senior traffic engineer, main finance officer, procurement and contract engineer and senior GIS expert would be provided in shape of five vehicles that have 1,300cc engine capacity
Other than this ten more vehicles would be bought for various officers. For mail carriers four bikes would be purchased at cost of Rs0.4 million
