Recently, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced that they have decided to start a safari train project and also a bus service for the tourists in Peshawar. This initiative will help in promoting tourism in the province.
In a way, this seems to be a revival of the safari train project for which Mahmood Khan Chief Minister Kyber Pakhtunkhwa gave an approval.
The train will be running on two routes. The first route will be from Peshawar to Takht-Bhai an area of district Mardan and the second route will be from Peshawar to Attock.
The KPK government will also launch a bus service for the tourists so that they can visit the walled areas of Peshawar.

As per their planning, a cable car of around fourteen kilometers long will also be launched for the tourists so that they can enjoy the view of the resorts in the area. The cable car will be set up between Chitral and Upper Dir.
Over 105, 207 tourists visited the tourist’s spot in Khyber PK in the last five days after the government lifted up the COVID-19 restrictions and reopened the tourist sites.
The tourism department of KPK said that the most visited tourist site was Abbottabad where 80, 650 visitors were witnessed in the past five days. The second most visited site was Swat.
On the other hand, Chitral witnessed 800 visitors and Dir received 364 tourists in total.
