The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Tuesday took the decision to use Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) as Sehat Sahulat Card, as per the reports of local media.
The decision was taken during a meeting in Peshawar that was led by the Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
While speaking on the occasion, he said that every family would get free treatment of more than Rs.7,000 per year.
He added that the provision of free medical treatment to the general public is a historic measure towards the formation of a true welfare state.

Previously on the 5th of June, Prime Minister Imran Khan gave orders for including all the disables person registered with the National Database and Registration Authority—NADRA in the Sehat Insaf Cards Programme.
While speaking to media, the Special Assistant to PM on Health—Dr Zafar Mirza said that the families of the tribal areas of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also being provided with the Sehat Insaf cards on the instructions of the Prime Minister.
He informed that the facility would be extended to the complete population of Tharparkar. He also added that the Prime Minister has given special orders for including all the disabled persons who are registered for the disability with the NADRA in the programme.
